Following my appeal to Your Honor for release of my son, Chong Tong Nie from further imprisonment, and in absence of a sympathetic reply to my earnest demand, it is my duty that I have the greatest honor to confirm my radiogram requesting Your Honor's good effort to liberate him without any unnecessary delay as previously appealed.

I do hope that my letter of appeal dated May 30, 1948 (2),

has already been received, and that Your Honor has been pleased to grant my legitimate request; and also if necessary, will entreat the favour of His Majesty King V1 for further permission to have him released forthwith so as to do me a justice and honor with full consideration and mercifulness for a youth's liberation and education in school.

For your early restoration of my son to my personal care in order for me to save his young life, I beg most respectfully to tend Your Honor my most heartfelt thanks and gratitude for

ever.

I beg to remain, Sir,

Yours most gratefully,

CHUANG CHU FENG
